The soft launch of Skyview at the Shangri-La Plaza Mall in Manadaluyong was a success. The launch took place around 11:30 AM of June 12. Mall goers were amazed and curious about the giant balloon with a monitor on it.

The Skyview launch was attended by Mayor Benhur Abalos, Jr., Mandaluyong City Mayor, The President of Shang Properties Atty. Bautista, The General Manager of Shangri-La Plaza was also there to grace the occasion.

Broadcast-journalist Ces Drilon has been released by his captives. Hmmmmmm? I sense some drama here, I don’t know, perhaps my gut feel maybe wrong but in my opinion it was a scenario (could be) to divert the issue of Meralco and that journalist would focus on something else rather than Meralco. My other opinion is Ms. Drilon might run on the 2010 election, you know just to kick things off with a news grabbing scenario.

Others might say that the Ces Drilon issue is a dreadful effect on the journalism world or whatever you call it but in my point of view its just one of those PR & PR of the Lopez group.

Phtraveler Movie Review- Anamorph, it’s a bloody movie with slow phasing. Willem Dafoe’s acting is impressive however the story of the movie is quiet shallow that will leave you asking “That’s it?” at the end of the movie. I don’t think this movie will pass to the general viewers in the Philippines.

Fishwink- 3 days before the Philippine premier of Skyview at the Shangri-La Plaza in Mandaluyong. Everything is prepared but the marketing people at the mall are still unsure where to place Skyview. Lunch and dinner will be served by Secret Recipe but that has to be confirmed since we are currently negotiating with them.

Just heard the news today that Malacañang is asking the people to use a bike or walk when going to a nearby destination or perhaps a car pool or something. This kind of suggestions in my opinion are signs that who ever is behind this idea thinks very lame. There is a negative impact on this news because it sounded like we have no other option, oil prices are going up lets start walking instead of using our cars. The first thing that came up after hearing the news was the government with all its resources, researchers, consultants and experts, etc couldnt think of something more innovative than this?

Before conveying that news which they thought to be nice is to think all sides. A news especially coming from the palace should have a command of hope, that there are alternative that the government has forseen this crisis before they happened and that the government has prepared several options.

Kungfu Panda- Skyview and more

We went to the movies today and watch Kung-fu Panda. It was funny, the storyline was nicely done, easy to follow especially with the kids and the kids had a great time watching it too. Jack Black was blended perfectly with the character. Anyway here’s the synopsis and the movie and some critics: 84% Rottentomatoes.com. Synopsis: “Kung Fu Panda” features Jack Black as Po the Panda, a lowly waiter in a noodle restaurant, who is a kung fu fanatic but whose shape doesn’t exactly lend itself to kung fu fighting. In fact, Po’s defining characteristic appears to be that he is the laziest of all the animals in ancient China.

PR & PR: Later this evening GMA-7’s Imbestigador featured the electricity cost problem in the country. I’m sure all the bright boys of Meralco are tuned in and probably thinking how to counter the effect of the program. The best way for Meralco perhaps is to think out of the box because there counter propaganda for the past days are quiet lame and people get more furious.

If I was on Meralco’s place id come up something else, something humanitarian but a humble effect with great sense of appeal to the masses belonging to the C,D,E classes.

Meralco is a bit vulnerable at the moment so send in those solicitations and proposals, I’m sure they will not ignore it at this point of time. hehehe

Skyview Philippines is set to debut in the Philippines at the Shangri-La Plaza Mall in Mandaluyong on the second week of June.

Skyview Philippines is distributed exclusively in the Philippines by royal Makati Marketing corporation (RMMC). All productionmatters will be handled by FishWink Media.

The FishWink Team will also carry out the events management of the Philippine debut of Skyview at the Shangri-La. FishWink will also be in charge with the public relations of the event.

Valenzuela City red hot street signs – went today to Valenzuela City and I observed the new street signs. I wonder why red? But it I check the internet and found out that red is there official color. Great job for the guys and gals there at Valenzuela.

Currently www.phtaveler.com is being developed the same stuff with philippinetraveler.info the only difference is 3 to 4 years back I really thought of the name www.phtaveler.com the idea of the portal is to focus on the tourism and business industry. I saw the need to put up a travel website because for one I am a traveler. In one occasion I have to go to a place in the Philippines that I am not familiar with. I browsed the net not getting what I want…that’s how I thought of www.phtaveler.com
